Songs from Asian Grief (Feb 3) & Re(center)ed (Feb 4)
In early February Good Trouble added song to two events for healing and grief, the Asian Grief Song Circle at Springboard for the Arts on Friday, February 3, 2023 and Jayson Randal's re(center)ed community healing installation at Art Shanty Projects on Saturday, February 4. We are sharing a combined list of songs since there's a bit of overlap. In no particular order by title:
- Yet, We Are Not Alone (Ahlay Blakely)
- I need you to sing this song (Ian Carrick)
- Ashes & Smoke (Linda Allen)
- Ready (Ahlay Blakely)
- I did not come here alone (The Peace Poets)
- Kwan Zeon Bosal (Dances of Universal Peace) We get there together (Or never get there at all) (Josh Blaine)
- plus shruti-drumming improvisation (not recorded)
We would love to be part of more containers holding grief (song) circles. Please reach out if you're interested in partnering with us.
Keep singing and moving those feels through! Stay hydrated, graceful, and creative!
