The Coalition of Asian American Leaders (CAAL) awarded $1,000 in Spark micro funds to Points of Light Music to support the Freeing Refrains project.
- The Metropolitan Regional Arts Council awarded $2,500 in Equity Response Funds toward Growing Biracial & Rural, a project to build advisory board capacity for the BnR project
KALI - A Space For Transformation in Stillwater, MN is partnering with Points of Light Music to offer virtual space for Freeing Refrains storytelling gatherings and weekly studio space for voice coaching, spiritual accompaniment, and organizing work for BnR. Owner Kali Higgins is a Korean adoptee who was raised and lives in a small rural town.
For two weeks at the beginning of January 2022, Points of Light Music will be hosted in a space residency at Rosy Simas Danse's Studio 331 space at the Northrup-King Building in Northeast Minneapolis. Stay tuned for what will unfold there!
