The Project for Mindfulness & Contemplation at the University of St. Thomas asked me to install a temporary labyrinth for their Mindfulness Week. Here's the flier they created for the event. Please come and walk it! It is open to the community. When it gets closer, I'll give more directions on how to find the labyrinth.
This installation will be temporary, made of flagging tape and some sort of staking device. That I know for sure at this time. The space is an unusual shape and poses some interesting challenges when asked to do something quick, temporary, and inexpensively. Here's an image I posted to instagram:
I'm looking for a few volunteers to assist with its installation and decommissioning on Mon, October 9 and Friday, October 13, respectively. Both starting at 3 p.m. There will be a lot of kneeling work, but if you'd like to make treats to keep other volunteers happy, that is welcome too! Email me at labyrinths@pointsoflightmusic.net.

Jot it in your calendar. Bring friends.
Due to rain in the forecast for Monday, an alternative installation date is being considered for early Sunday afternoon. An announcement will be made early afternoon Friday is that is the case so volunteers can adjust plans as needed. Stay tuned!
